Flu virus can be air-borne or can be contracted by physical touch or it can be spread through touching infected objects and things like doorknobs, escalator railings and elevator buttons.

You can defend yourself from cold and flu by following simple instructions given below.

How to defend yourself from flu

It has been found that 80% of all infections are spread by hands. So wash your hands regularly with a hand sanitizer or at least with soap and water for around 20 seconds.

It is advised to keep you warm during the cold seasons and avoid sudden temperature changes as it can lead to developing a cold. In order to prevent contact with unwanted germs, it is recommended to keep your nose and mouth covered if you are going outside.

Start building your immune system by eating fruits and vegetables like papayas, carrots, oranges, guavas, limes, onion and rice which are rich in Vitamin A and C. you can also drink green or black tea.

Increase your intake of garlic and garlic rich foods as they are very effective in defending and fighting against cold and flu.

You can also minimize your chances of catching a cold by avoiding places where there are a lot of people. You should always remember that the more the people the higher the chances of catching unwanted germs.

It is also good idea to go for regular check-ups to a doctor and find out if there is anything wrong with your body.

You can also defend yourselves from cold and flu ailments by just supplementing your diet with natural herbal supplements.
