The faster the food is digested and absorbed, the faster it releases sugar that leads to a spike in blood sugar level. Foods that cause a rapid peak, is given a score as high glycemic index, and vice versa. As such, foods with high glycemic index lead to a sudden sense of being &#8220;full&#8221; and return immediately after the famine. On the other hand, low GI foods take longer to digest, giving a feeling of being full much longer. Also,  for diabetics, is &#8220;safer&#8221; to eat low GI foods such as sugar level  quickly and does not point the body can absorb the food slowly. this has no effect on any of the other parts of the food. For example, a food that is generally good for your health, it can be a food with high glycemic index, such as protein shakes. On  the other hand, something very high in fat may have a low glycemic  index rating, giving the illusion that it is healthier when it is not.<br />
